Also known as a cap, a crown is a custom-made artificial restoration that permanently covers your tooth. They are often made of porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, or full gold. When you have chipped or cracked teeth, a crown will be placed over your tooth to visibly and physically revitalize your smile. Dr. Lance Teramoto established his dental practice in 1985. He had just returned home to Honolulu from Washington D.C. where he completed his studies in dentistry. Born and raised in Mililani, Hawaii, Dr. Teramoto graduated from Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii; earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, and received his Doctorate in Dental Science (DDS) from Georgetown University, School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.
